Happy New Year! (it's too late to still be saying that, isn't it?) I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday break and is re-energised for the year ahead. What will this year bring? The last saw a world-wide financial meltdown and the usual array of regional conflicts; in both respects the world is far from being out of the woods yet. Like so many things, they will probably get worse before they get better. None-the-less, these situations provide good opportunities to reflect on how lucky many of us are, particularly those of us living in comparatively safe and stable countries like Australia.
To start off what will be a more photographically active year for me, above is a Nixie Tube display that I'm in the process of writing software for. I love this kind of retro technology!
