Stitches out and yet another weird material has been applied to the area for the next few days to help hold it together and limit the movement/pain. The results won't be back until Thursday or Friday.
Meanwhile, Doom 3 has gone gold and will be released at the start of next month, which isn't far away now! My computer won't be able to run it properly without an upgrade *cringe*
a few grams lighter...
Late Friday afternoon I had the suspect mole cut out and I'm still feeling quite sore from it. Because of where it was - on the edge of my left nipple, of all places - having it cut out wasn't as easy as it probably would have been, had it been elsewhere. Certainly it hasn't been comfortable, as any movement of my arm stretches that area and causes pain, so I've been walking around looking like a tragic 80's robot-dancer as I try in vain to keep my arm still. Tomorrow I have to go back to have stitches removed (some were dissolvable, but a few weren't) and possibly to hear the diagnosis if "the lab" has processed the biopsy yet.
If it turns out to be something bad, then more will probably have to be excised. If it's nothing, then "chicks dig scars", right? In any case, it's time for bed.
you have to laugh...
Melbourne IT are the funny.
I don't know how many times I've called them chasing the status of a contact code change on a .org.au domain in the past two weeks, but yesterday I finally received an e-mail telling me that the contact code couldn't be changed, because the contact code that I was trying to assign wasn't created through them.
Well I found that pretty humorous (among other things), so again it was an epic battle of on-hold boredom. Basically my logic was this: if the contact code wasn't created through them, and can't be used with their domains, then how can I be using it on domains for which they are the registrar? Their response was: that's impossible, you can't even edit such a contact code through our service.
When I informed them that I was editing the contact code at that very second, all I was met with was silence.
In the end they told me to create a new contact code and then resubmit the application for the change (involving another two week wait). So, I gave up and created the new contact code. When I was about to reapply for the change, I did a whois on the domain and what did I find? The contact code which I'd originally wanted assigned, but which they told me was impossible to assign, had just been assigned!
k. *shakes head*
Meanwhile, I have to get a suspected melanoma cut out next week. Fun.
