Inside, the Daibutsu 大仏 (which is a statue of Mahāvairocana Buddha) is imposing but somewhat constrained by the building and the massive supporting columns, making it less visually dramatic than the Daibutsu 大仏 of Kōtoku-in 高徳院, which can be viewed from afar.
As such, my attention was mostly drawn to the other statues and artworks, such as the above, Kōmokuten 広目天 (or Virūpākṣa), one of two guardians in the hall.
