totems
The local sushi place now stocks an assortment of daifuku. This makes me happy, but I'm told my penchant for them isn't universally shared.
rush hour
I lied. Just one more!
apollo
Last pic from the same area. The theories people propose to explain this phenomenon have always amused me. It should be obvious that it's just for fun. Highly visible, intimate to the thrower, achievable by anyone and with a lifespan that's long but not permanent. Leaving a temporary and anonymous (yet personal) mark on the world.
Now on to more recent photos...
tunnels and light
Around the far end of a (different) park's waterway in the breezy cool.
a stone flower
The crisp and beautifully carved kasuga lantern at the entry to the park.
tranquility
Quiet relaxation. Pigeons fluffed up for warmth and sleeping on the roof of the park's gate.
