Although Sidney Nolan's famous Snake was conspicuously missing at the time, MONA didn't disappoint. The museum's annual Dark Mofo event was taking place during our stay and featured Ryoji Ikeda and his ghostly column of light, which pushed through the air with a powdered liminality, connecting with the clouds like something otherworldly.
